Fresh Flowers
Logo for Albertson’s Flower Department
After a redesign of albertsons.com was completed, the client reached out to Critical Mass to also create a new ‘fresh flowers’ logo for the flower department both in-store and online. After many creative rounds, I was brought on the project to bring in a fresh and ‘feminine’ design aesthetic. The client loved their new logo; simple, clean and witty treatment of the ‘O’ as a stylized flower.
Marcel Wanders
Door Knob Concept
Sketch for Industrial Design & Product Development Class at Alberta College of Art & Design
Prototype
Inspired by Marcel Wanders, I sketched and fabricated an elaborate to-scale prototype of a pair of doorknobs that would open up to a bathroom designed by the Dutch designer. To create the final prototype, I repurposed a wall clock with a barbed quatrefoil frame, vintage ornate metal door plates, large glass diamonds and ornamental wood decorations.
Mood Board
For an in-class presentation about Marcel Wanders, I researched and created an inspiration board about the famous designer. By incorporating similar materials such as rope and lace, I brought in a tactile look and feel in the mood board to reference his Knotted and Crochet chair designs.
Legends and Landmarks
Award-Winning Illustration
Published in Pan-Alberta Gas Annual Report
‘Legends & Landmarks’ was awarded a Bronze in the Mixed Media category from the Three-Dimensional Illustrators & Art Directors Awards Show. The client loved the piece so much, they purchased the original artwork to display in the company’s boardroom/add to private collection.
